Hide as an Object or Hunt the Hiders

Hide and Smash takes the basic idea of hide-and-seek and turns it into a team action game. Each round places you on one of two sides. The blue team hides. The red team searches and smashes. Both sides have completely different goals, so a round feels different depending on the role you receive.

As a hider, you need to avoid attention while moving around the map. You can disguise yourself as an ordinary object from the environment. The aim is to look like you belong there instead of standing out as another player.

Collect the Keys While Staying Hidden

Hiders cannot spend the whole match sitting in one safe corner. Golden keys appear around the area, and the hiding team needs to collect them to win.

Moving creates risk because a smasher may notice something that should not be walking around. You need to decide when it is safe to leave your hiding place and run toward another key.

A good disguise also needs a sensible location. An object placed somewhere unusual can attract attention even when you stop moving.

Search Carefully as a Smasher

The red team has the opposite job. Smashers search the environment for opponents disguised as normal objects. Once you spot something suspicious, you can attack it and try to remove the hidden player before the blue team collects its keys.

Movement uses W, A, S, and D or the arrow keys. A mouse click handles aiming and smashing when you play as the hunter.

Two Roles Create Two Styles of Play

Hide and Smash gives you a mixture of sneaking and searching. Hiders need patience and careful movement. Smashers need good observation and quick reactions.

The simple rules make each role easy to understand. Hide among the objects and collect keys when you join the blue side. Search the rooms and smash the disguised opponents when you join the red side. The changing roles keep Hide and Smash from feeling like the same chase every round.
