Introduction to Hobo
Hobo is a side-scrolling beat ’em up about a homeless antihero who turns a bad day into a brawl. A cop boots him out of a park, and he fights anyone who steps in his way. You punch, kick, grab, and throw objects. As you land hits, you unlock crude moves like spit attacks, puke sprays, and gas bursts.
You move through streets, alleys, and rooftops while waves of foes close in. Enemies shift from nosy bystanders to cops and gang members, and a tough boss caps each area. You find food to heal and you pick up bottles, trash cans, and batons for extra reach or stun. The combo list grows after checkpoints, so timing and spacing matter when crowds stack up.
The look uses chunky lines and exaggerated hits that read fast during fights. Loud grunts and slapstick effects give every strike a punchy feel. Short runs invite repeat tries for better scores and smoother chains. Later entries push the idea into new settings and stranger enemies. The core stays the same with fast pacing, simple inputs, a growing move list, and messy humor.
