Get to Know About Klondike Solitaire

You play Klondike Solitaire with a standard 52 card deck. The goal is to build four foundations from Ace to King by suit. Deal seven columns for the tableau. The first holds one card and each next column holds one more. Turn the top card of each column face up and leave the rest face down. Set the remaining stack as a draw pile beside a discard space.

Build down the tableau in alternating colors. Place a red card on a black card of the next lower rank. Move any correct run as a group. Only a King may fill an empty column. A King stack can move into that space. Move each Ace to a foundation and build up by suit. Flip one card from the draw pile into the discard and check for legal plays.

Flip hidden cards early. Prefer a play that turns a face down card over a small foundation step. Keep one column free to park a King and shift a run. Avoid locking long chains under a high card with no escape. With one card draw you can cycle the pile fast and react to each flip. With three card draw plan several moves ahead and track the order in the discard. Keep low cards in play to support moves in the tableau. Give priority to options that uncover new cards or open a column.
