Get to Know About Stop the Bus – A Card Game

Stop the Bus is a quick group card game with crisp decisions. You try to build the best three-card hand using Brag rankings. Rounds move fast and knock out players one ticket at a time. Use a standard deck without jokers. Three to six players keeps the pace. Everyone starts with three bus tickets or chips.

Deal three cards to each player. Place the remaining deck face down and flip one card to start a discard pile. On your turn draw one card from the deck or take the top discard, then discard one to return to three. Say Stop the Bus to end the cycle for yourself. After that call, every other player takes one final turn and then everyone reveals. The Brag order is prial, running flush, run, flush, pair, high card.

The weakest hand loses one ticket. A player with no tickets leaves the table. The last player with a ticket wins the game. Break ties by comparing the ranks within the same hand type from highest card downward. Many groups treat A‑2‑3 as the top run. Smart play favors steady upgrades and clear outs. Track exposed cards and time the stop to freeze weaker hands.
